ArtGirlRising x Tea Bird Tea 

We are calling South East Asian Womxn Artists to submit their work.

Theme: Joy/Joyful 

Deadline: 4 October 2020

Medium: Painting, Drawing, Collage, Photography, Printmaking

What does Joy mean to you? How has this shifted over the last few months and how has it influenced your art practice.

Submission and theme information 

  • We welcome ALL female identified artists, of all skills, backgrounds and education. 
  • Open to anyone who considers themselves an artist - full time, part time, educated, self taught etc. 
  • All entries are free of charge. 

Entry requirements 

  • Female identified artists 
  • 16 years and older 
  • Born in / or citizens of SE Asia - Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.  
  • 2D Art 

The winning art piece and top 10

  • The winning art piece will appear as a limited edition A5 print on paper with the Tea Bird Tea envelope
  • The winning art piece will appear as a screen print on a white ArtGirlRising t-shirt, with your name below as credit
  • The winning artist will receive RM1200 in cash
  • The winning artist will receive 5% from the collaboration edition tea and t-shirt sales. 
  • The art piece remains the property of the artist 
  • The winning art piece will be shown in a group show exhibition in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia in 2021.
  • The top ten selected artists will appear on ArtGirlRising and Tea Bird Tea Instagram
